Bamboo Drapes

Drape Style recently introduced a new line of drapes made from a blend of bamboo, linen, and cotton fabric (full review at Marigold Lane). Not only are they environmentally-friendly, the fabric itself is quite lovely with a nice weight to it. Available in traditional patterns such as "Mojave" in the color "Salad", a beautiful shade of green in a vine-like pattern, as well as modern patterns including aqua dots, stripes, checkerboards, and the funky Egali pattern shown here in shades of aqua and dark chocolate on a neutral light brown background that Drape Style calls angelus. Made in the US, to order.

Bamboo Ceilings

I love this bamboo ceiling. It makes me long for the tropics. If you're into tropical living or the English Colonial style, this is a good option for you. These custom designed ceilings are available in either light natural color bamboo or stained a darker color.

Bamboo Food Cover

Yes, to some it might resemble a hat but I assure you it's not. It's a food cover--although I suppose if you've had a few too many glasses of wine it might equate to the lampshade on the head of New Year's Eve fame. That said, I think it's rather nifty and quite clever. It's also eco-friendly because it's made of sustainable bamboo. 26 cm high by 41 cm wide. Available in opal (shown here) and red.

Loofah Kitchen Scrubbers

What a fun alternative to synthetic scrubbing pads! Even better, these natural scrubbers also have the distinction of being the first loofah in the world to be certified USDA organic. If you're not sure what a loofah is, it's a vegetable that looks similar to a gourd that when dried has a sponge-like consistency. Safe for veggies, non-stick pans, and tough enough for pots and pans. Made in Paraquay.
