These really cool, and very mod flower tubes are made from our favorite material recycled PET plastic and recycled paper. Officially called Tu-Tu RTD (Ready to Display), they are both packaging and vase. Sure beats those silly single roses that street vendors sell.

Is creating "faux bois" or fake wood out of concrete environmentally friendly? I'm not sure. On the one hand no trees are being cut down, but on the other we're adding something that's not very biodegradable to the environment. Nonetheless, I liked the idea and this table from Texas based artist Donald Tucker is wonderful.
This pigmented wood is made from forest waste. Water resistant, it's an ideal building material for the humid tropics. The organic dyes are infused into the wood and are resistant to fading. Special resins are injected into the wood to make it extremely strong and durable; however, no formaldehyde is used in the manufacturing process and it is non-toxic. Available in 6 colors and 3 finishes, wax, varnish, and oil.
